WWF In Your House Report
August 27th, 1995 - Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The WWF's latest Pay Per View extravaganza, In Your House, delivered a night of thrilling action and dramatic finishes in front of a raucous crowd of 18,062. The event showcased some of the organization's top talent, with several matches that will be remembered for weeks to come.
In the opener, Hakushi got the better of The 1-2-3 Kid, exploiting his opponent's high-flying tendencies and capitalizing on a botched dive attempt to score the victory (9:28).
Hunter Hearst Helmsley continued his meteoric rise up the WWF's ranks with a convincing win over Bob Holly. The former football player displayed his impressive strength and agility en route to a dominant 7:11 triumph.
The Smoking Gunns, comprised of Bart and Billy Gunn, made short work of The Blu Twins (Eli and Jacob) in their tag team match. A well-executed plancha from Billy sealed the deal for the Guntastic duo in just 6:10.
Barry Horowitz, often the butt of jokes among WWF fans, proved his doubters wrong by outlasting Skip in a hard-hitting contest (11:21). The veteran grappler's grit and determination earned him a well-deserved victory.
The WWE Women's Title was on the line when Bertha Faye faced off against Alundra Blayze. In a surprisingly competitive match, Faye managed to overcome her opponent and claim the title in a thrilling 8:30 encounter.
The main event of the evening saw The Undertaker face off against Kama in a Casket Match. 'Taker's dominance was evident from the opening bell, ultimately sending Kama packing into the abyss (16:26).
In other action, Bret Hart and Isaac Yankem DDS clashed in a singles match that showcased the best of both worlds. A thrilling exchange of holds and counters ended with Hart emerging victorious after 16:08.
The real showstopper, however, was the WWE Intercontinental Title Ladder Match between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon. This instant classic featured daring dives, innovative spots, and a healthy dose of controversy. In the end, Michaels stood tall, having conquered the ladder to reclaim his title (25:03).
Rounding out the card was the WWE Championship match, where Diesel faced off against King Mabel. The challenger's power was matched by the champion's cunning, with Diesel ultimately emerging victorious after 9:15.
In Your House proved to be an unforgettable night of professional wrestling, featuring a mix of high-flying action, technical grappling, and brutal brawling. With several matches that will be debated for weeks to come, this event solidified its place among the WWF's best offerings of the year.
