SURVIVOR SERIES '91: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER AT JOE LOUIS ARENA
Detroit, Michigan - The Joe Louis Arena was electric last night as the WWE presented Survivor Series '91, a Pay Per View extravaganza that lived up to its hype. In front of a packed crowd of 17,500, eight teams clashed in four thrilling Survivor Series matches, with championship gold and bragging rights on the line.
MATCH 1: SURVIVOR SERIES EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH
The first match saw Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, The British Bulldog, and Virgil take on Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase, The Mountie, and The Warlord. This contest was an absolute barnburner from start to finish. In the end, it was Flair who emerged victorious, pinning Piper after a figure-four leg lock. Time: 22:48.
MATCH 2: SURVIVOR SERIES EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH
The second match pitted El Matador, Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, and The Texas Tornado against Col. Mustafa, Hercules, Skinner, and The Berzerker. This one was a wild ride, with plenty of high-flying action from the likes of El Matador. In the end, it was Slaughter who got the pin, taking down Mustafa after a backbreaker. Time: 14:19.
WWE TITLE MATCH
The main event saw Hulk Hogan put his WWE Championship on the line against The Undertaker. This one was an instant classic, with both men trading near-falls and delivering some of their signature moves. In the end, it was Taker who emerged victorious, pinning Hogan after a Tombstone Piledriver. Time: N/A.
MATCH 3: SURVIVOR SERIES EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH
The third match saw The Beverly Brothers (Beau and Blake) team up with The Nasty Boys to take on The Bushwhackers and The Rockers. This one was a real battle royal, with plenty of brawling and trash talking. In the end, it was Beau Beverly who got the pin, taking down Luke after a flying fist drop. Time: 23:06.
MATCH 4: SURVIVOR SERIES SIX-MAN TAG TEAM ELIMINATION MATCH
The final match saw The Big Boss Man team up with The Legion of Doom (Animal and Hawk) to take on Irwin R. Schyster and The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon). This one was a real barnburner, with plenty of high-impact moves and near-falls. In the end, it was Boss Man who emerged victorious, pinning Earthquake after a choke slam. Time: 15:21.
Overall, Survivor Series '91 was an absolute blast from start to finish. With four thrilling matches and some incredible moments in each contest, this event will be remembered for years to come. Zohash.com gives it two thumbs up!
