WrestleMania's Baby Brother Delivers at Madison Square Garden

Last night, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF) presented its annual Survivor Series spectacle at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. The 17th of November will be remembered as a night that had it all – drama, action, and more than a few surprises.

In the opening match, four teams of four clashed in an Eight-Man Tag Team Elimination contest. The Free For All Survivor Series matchup saw Aldo Montoya, Bart Gunn, Bob Holly, and Jesse Jammes emerge victorious over Billy Gunn, Justin Bradshaw, Salvatore Sincere, and The Sultan. This high-energy opener set the tone for a thrilling evening.

The next bout pitted Doug Furnas, Philip LaFon, and The Godwinns (Henry O. Godwinn and Phineas I. Godwinn) against Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, and The New Rockers (Leif Cassidy and Marty Jannetty). In a match that lasted an impressive 20:41, the Furnas-LaFon-Godwinns trio managed to outlast their opponents.

The main event of the first half saw two wrestling legends collide when Mankind faced off against The Undertaker. Their singles matchup was nothing short of intense, with both competitors giving it their all. In the end, The Deadman emerged victorious in a contest that lasted 14:52.

Following intermission, Jake Roberts, Marc Mero, Rocky Maivia, and The Stalker took on Crush, Goldust, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Jerry Lawler in another Eight-Man Tag Team Elimination match. This clash was marked by its back-and-forth action, with the eventual winners lasting 23:44.

The WWE Title #1 Contendership Match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin stole the show in many ways. These two wrestling icons went toe-to-toe for an incredible 28:36, with The Excellence of Execution ultimately emerging victorious.

In a match that had all the makings of a classic, Diesel, Faarooq, Razor Ramon, and Vader took on Flash Funk, Jimmy Snuka, Savio Vega, and Yokozuna in another Eight-Man Tag Team Elimination contest. Unfortunately for fans, this bout was marred by a Double DQ finish.

Finally, Sycho Sid challenged Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title. In a match that will be remembered for its sheer brutality, The Powerbomb King ultimately emerged victorious to claim the championship.

As the night drew to a close, Madison Square Garden's sold-out crowd of 18,647 left with memories they will cherish for a long time. Survivor Series has once again cemented its place as one of the WWF's premier events.
