WrestleMania IX Report

Las Vegas, Nevada - April 4, 1993

Caesars Palace played host to the ninth annual WrestleMania extravaganza, and what a show it was! The sold-out crowd of 15,045 witnessed a thrilling evening of action-packed matches that will be remembered for years to come.

Pre-Show Action

The night kicked off with El Matador taking on Papa Shango in a pre-show match. El Matador's high-flying moves and aggressive style proved too much for the veteran Papa Shango, as he picked up the win in just 7:37.

Intercontinental Title Match

Shawn Michaels put his WWE Intercontinental Title on the line against Tatanka, but it was the challenger who left with the gold. Tatanka's impressive powerbombs and submissions were too much for HBK, as he secured a 18:13 victory to become the new champion.

Tag Team Action

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) looked sharp in their tag team match against The Headshrinkers (Fatu and Samu). In the end, it was Rick's Frankensteiner that sealed the deal for the Steiners, who took home the win in 14:22.

Crush vs. Doink

In a bizarre encounter, Crush found himself on the wrong end of Doink's antics. The creepy clown used his cunning and quickness to outmaneuver Crush, securing an 8:28 victory.

Razor Ramon vs. Bob Backlund

Razor Ramon made quick work of Bob Backlund, finishing him off with a Razor's Edge in just 3:45.

WWF World Tag Team Title Match

Money Inc. (Irwin R. Schyster and Ted DiBiase) successfully defended their WWF World Tag Team Titles against The Mega Maniacs. The cunning duo used their experience to outsmart their opponents, retaining the gold in 18:27.

Lex Luger vs. Mr. Perfect

In a highly anticipated match, Lex Luger faced off against Mr. Perfect. In the end, it was Luger's power and aggression that proved too much for the veteran Perfect, as he picked up the win in 10:56.

Giant Gonzalez vs. The Undertaker

The Deadman looked to continue his winning streak against Giant Gonzalez. Despite Gonzalez's size advantage, Taker used his experience and cunning to outmaneuver the giant, securing a 7:33 victory.

WWE Title Match

Yokozuna put his WWE Championship on the line against Bret Hart, but it was Hart who came up short. Yokozuna's sheer power proved too much for The Excellence of Execution, as he took home the win to retain the title.

Main Event

In an instant classic, Hulk Hogan faced off against Yokozuna in a bid to reclaim his WWE Championship. In a back-and-forth match that had the crowd on their feet, Hogan managed to overcome Yokozuna's size and power to secure a thrilling victory. The Hulkster's third WWE Title reign was cemented, as he celebrated with the adoring crowd.

That's all for this year's WrestleMania IX. Until next time, when the world will be watching... [The camera cuts off]
