Christopher Adams, better known as Chris Adams or Masked Avenger, was a British wrestler who left an indelible mark on the sport. Born in Rugby, England in 1955, Adams' athletic background in Judo laid the foundation for his technical wrestling style.

At 6 feet 1 inch and weighing in at 230 pounds, Adams cut a commanding figure in the ring. His reputation as a technician earned him the nickname "Gentleman," a testament to his refined approach to the sport.

Adams' professional career spanned over two decades, during which he worked for prominent promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling, National Wrestling Alliance, Big Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial De Lucha Libre. His impressive résumé included victories in several championships, including the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, World Class World Heavyweight Championship, NWA American Heavyweight Championship, WCWA Brass Knuckles Championship, and UWF Tag Team Championship.

Adams' signature move was the Superkick, a devastating blow that left opponents reeling. His technical prowess earned him a reputation as one of the best in the business, and his clean-cut appearance made him a fan favorite.

Despite his success, Adams faced personal struggles throughout his life. Tragically, he met an untimely death on October 7, 2001, at the age of 46. The circumstances surrounding his passing were shrouded in controversy, with some attributing it to a Totschlag (a type of neckbreaker) suffered during a match.

Adams' career spanned from June 27, 1979, to February 25, 2000, a testament to his dedication and perseverance. As the Gentleman of professional wrestling, Chris Adams left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire and influence generations of wrestlers to come.
