Masaaki Mochizuki
In a world where giant men in spandex are the norm, it's refreshing to find someone who bucks the trend. Enter Masaaki Mochizuki, a Japanese wrestler with a penchant for technical grappling and a healthy dose of sass.
This 70s-born bad boy has been kicking around (literally) since the early days of his career in Dragongate Japan Pro-Wrestling. And while he may not be a household name stateside, Mochizuki's got a reputation that precedes him back home in Tokyo.
Dubbed "The Soul Of The King Of The Kicker" by fans (we're guessing it has something to do with those lightning-quick Saikyou High Kick moves), Mochizuki's wrestling style is equal parts finesse and fury. A technician at heart, he'll weave together a web of submission holds and armdrags that leave opponents scrambling to keep up.
But don't get it twisted – this guy can bring the hurt too. When the mood strikes him, Mochizuki unleashes a flurry of Twister I & II, Reverse Twister, Sankakugeri (that's "triangle armbar" for you non-Japanese speakers), and Illusion moves that'll leave even the toughest foes reeling.
And if all else fails? Well, there's always good old-fashioned Karate chops (literally) to take care of business. This guy's got skills, folks – Ringen, wrestling, or otherwise.
Mochizuki's also got a mean streak, which is probably why he's earned the nickname "Hideo No More" (translation: "No More Mr. Nice Guy"). When he's in the zone, nothing can stop him – not even his opponents' best efforts to take him down.
So next time you're flipping through channels and stumble upon a Japanese wrestling match featuring Mochizuki, don't change the channel. Trust us, you won't be disappointed. This guy's got game, and then some.
