EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESENTS "HARDCORE HOLIDAY" - A NIGHT TO REMEMBER IN MONACA!

November 30th, 1997 - Golden Dome, Monaca, Pennsylvania - Attendance: 4,634

The Extreme Championship Wrestling faithful gathered at the Golden Dome in Monaca, Pennsylvania for a night of high-flying action and bone-crushing brutality as ECW presented "Hardcore Holiday". And boy, did they deliver!

The evening kicked off with Chris Candido taking on Tommy Rogers in a singles match. What was expected to be a thrilling encounter ended in a no contest after both men went crashing through the entrance ramp. A fitting start to the night, setting the tone for what was to come.

Next up, the tag team division was put to the test as Chris Candido and Lance Storm paired up against Jerry Lynn and Tommy Rogers. The crowd was treated to some fantastic teamwork from Candido and Storm, ultimately leading to a convincing victory.

Mikey Whipwreck's match against Justin Credible showcased the young gun's high-flying prowess, with the former ECW TV Champion securing a well-deserved win in 7:15 minutes.

The ECW World Television Title was up for grabs as Taz faced off against Pitbull #2. In a bout that flew by in just 1:29 minutes, Taz proved why he's the man to beat at 215 pounds.

A Four-Way Elimination Tag Team Match for the ECW World Tag Team Titles saw The FBI (Little Guido and Tracy Smothers) emerge victorious over The Dudley Boyz, Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney, and The Gangstanators (John Kronus and New Jack). In a match that was as chaotic as it was exciting, The FBI managed to outlast the competition in 14:32 minutes.

The main event of the evening saw ECW's very own Rob Van Dam go toe-to-toe with Tommy Dreamer in an ECW vs. WWF Flag Match. While neither man emerged victorious, the sheer intensity and physicality on display left the crowd in awe.

But the piece de resistance was without a doubt Sabu versus The Sandman in a Tables & Ladders Match. This war of attrition saw both men push each other to the limits, with Sabu ultimately emerging triumphant after 20:55 minutes of unadulterated mayhem.

The night concluded with Shane Douglas putting his ECW Heavyweight Championship on the line against Bam Bam Bigelow. In a match that was as grueling as it was spectacular, Douglas managed to retain his title in what can only be described as an instant classic.

In the end, "Hardcore Holiday" proved to be a fitting tribute to the ECW faithful, delivering an evening of unforgettable action and excitement. If you missed this one, then you simply have to catch up on the replay!
