WWF Live at the Dunkin' Donuts Center: A Thrilling Night of Action
Providence, Rhode Island - The Dunkin' Donuts Center played host to an electrifying night of professional wrestling as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) presented their latest Pay-Per-View event. And what a show it was! From the opening bell to the final fall, the packed arena was treated to a series of hard-hitting matches that showcased the very best of what WWE has to offer.
ECW Heavyweight Title: Christian defeats Jack Swagger
In the opening contest, ECW Champion Christian put his title on the line against Jack Swagger. The challenger came out swinging, but Christian's quickness and agility allowed him to evade most of the attacks. A series of high-impact moves, including a devastating top-rope crossbody, proved too much for Swagger, allowing Christian to retain his title.
Chris Jericho defeats Ricky Steamboat
In one of the night's most highly anticipated matches, wrestling legend Ricky Steamboat stepped into the ring with Chris Jericho. This contest was all about storytelling, with Steamboat looking every inch the veteran as he traded holds and moves with the cunning Jericho. In the end, it was Jericho's experience that told, as he secured a submission victory via his patented Walls of Jericho.
Kane defeats CM Punk
Next up, the Big Red Machine Kane faced off against CM Punk in a match that promised plenty of action. And deliver it did! The two competitors traded blows and moves, with Punk using his quickness to try and outmaneuver the giant Kane. However, it was ultimately Kane's brute strength that proved too much for Punk, as he delivered a thunderous chokeslam to secure the victory.
I Quit Match: Jeff Hardy defeats Matt Hardy
In one of the night's most physically demanding matches, brothers Jeff and Matt Hardy clashed in an I Quit match. The action was non-stop from start to finish, with both men pushing each other to the limit. In the end, it was Jeff who emerged victorious, forcing Matt to submit via a figure-four leg lock.
Santina Marella defeats Beth Phoenix
In a relatively quick contest, Santina Marella secured a surprise victory over Beth Phoenix in just 3 seconds! Yes, you read that right - 3 seconds! Marella managed to catch Phoenix off guard with a roll-up, sending the crowd into raptures.
WWE Title Six-Man Tag: Legacy defeats Batista, Shane McMahon and Triple H
The main event saw WWE Champion Randy Orton teaming up with his Legacy cohorts Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to take on a formidable trio of Batista, Shane McMahon, and Triple H. The action was fast-paced and intense from start to finish, with each team trading moves and near-falls. In the end, it was Legacy who emerged victorious, as Orton secured the pin on Triple H.
World Heavyweight Title Last Man Standing: Edge defeats John Cena
And finally, the night's main event saw World Heavyweight Champion Edge putting his title on the line against John Cena in a brutal Last Man Standing match. The two competitors went at it hammer and tongs from start to finish, with each man refusing to back down. In the end, it was Edge who emerged victorious, as he delivered a devastating spear to send Cena crashing through the announce table.
All in all, this was an incredible night of professional wrestling that showcased the very best of what WWE has to offer. From the high-flying action of Jeff Hardy to the technical grappling of Chris Jericho, there was something for everyone on this stacked card. And with Edge retaining his World Heavyweight Title, the question now is - who will be able to take him down next?
