All Japan Pro Wrestling's "Ryogoku Renaissance" Review

Tokyo, Japan - November 3rd, 2008 - The venerable Ryogoku Kokugikan played host to All Japan Pro Wrestling's (AJPW) latest pay-per-view extravaganza, "Ryogoku Renaissance", and yours truly was on hand to witness the proceedings. A capacity crowd of 9,850 enthusiastic fans packed the iconic arena, eager to bear witness to some of the best professional wrestling the world has to offer.
Undercard Action
The evening commenced with a trifecta of action-packed matches that set the tone for what would prove to be an unforgettable night. Masanobu Fuchi emerged victorious in a Three-Way Match against Kikutaro and Nobutaka Araya, clocking in at 6:01. Next up, Manabu Soya edged out Seiya Sanada in a Singles Match that showcased both competitors' technical prowess, concluding at 13:38.
The GURENTAI faction (MAZADA, NOSAWA Rongai and Taiyo Kea) made short work of their opponents, Elvis Sharp, Osamu Nishimura, and Shane Chung, securing the win in a Six-Man Tag Team Match that lasted 8:05. Akebono's dominant display against Ryota Hama yielded a swift victory in a Singles Match clocking in at just 5:05.
Main Event Mayhem
The evening's main event saw Voodoo Murders (Nobukazu Hirai, TARU, and YASSHI) clash with Kaz Hayashi, Ryuji Hijikata, and Suwama in a thrilling Six-Man Tag Team Match. The bout was marked by high-flying antics and hard-hitting exchanges, ultimately concluding at 14:20.
Hiroyoshi Tenzan and NO LIMIT (Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro) teamed up to take on F4 (Hiroshi Yamato, KAI, and Satoshi Kojima) in a Six-Man Tag Team Match that showcased the strengths of each participant. This grueling affair clocked in at 18:20.
